Cyclone season can be tough for homeowners, which is why house insurance (with optional benefit gale, windstorm, hurricane, cyclone cover) is important to take out before the damage is done.
If you do have house insurance with cyclone cover, and your house has been damaged in a storm, then it’s time to make a claim!
What is a claim?
Making a claim through your insurance provider means that you’re asking for coverage or compensation for the damage caused by the event that you’re covered for.
So in this case, you’ll be claiming compensation for your cyclone damaged home.
Where possible, please remember to take before and after photos of your damaged items and property - this helps us assess the damage.
How do you make a claim?
There are two main ways:
- Online via our online claim form – this is the easiest and quickest way to lodge your claim and get things moving!
- Or if you need to talk to someone in regards to your claim, you can call us, email us, or drop into the branch.
